DONATIONS TO CALPPAC

Reasons to give to the state PAC fund:

1. We cannot just give during the years that we have pending legislation.
   
   
2. The legislators must sense our presence and our support in the “off” years as well.
   
   
3. We need to continue to contribute to our friends and potential friends in the legislature.
   
   
4. WE STILL HAVE PENDING FIGHTS IN THE STATE: BATTLES WITH DHS OVER DIGITAL X-RAYS TO BE TAKEN BY OUR OFFICE STAFFS.
   
   
5. BATTLES WITH DHS OVER OUR ABILITY TO WORK WITH CERTIFIED NURSE ANESTHETISTS.
   
   
6. BATTLES WITH DHS OVER UNREASONABLE MEDI-CAL RESTRICTIONS ON DPMs.
   
   
7. BATTLE WITH DHS OVER DISCRIMINATORY REIMBURSEMENT FOR DPMs IN THE MEDI-CAL SYSTEM.
   
   
8. BATTLES WITH INSURANCE COMPANIES OVER DISCRIMINATORY CLASSIFICATIONS OF AND REIMBURSEMENT TO DPMs. (Blue Shield’s refusal to reimburse DPMs for DMEs; Insurance companies’ unfair bundling of our services, etc).
   
   
9. All these battles can result in us asking for legislators to intercede and we must therefore maintain our presence via our state PAC fund.

We ask for a minimum of $200 donation. This year the cycle of donation to the state PAC fund closes on 6/1/06. Time is of the essence. Can we count on your donation by check or charge card?
